Invest Responsibly
More and more people are looking to invest their portfolios in accordance with their values, so as to support those companies that make products that are not harmful to health, that do not pollute and which are good corporate citizens. You can seek out socially responsible portfolio funds and you can elect to use a socially-reponsible filter for those portolios that you manage directly or indirectly. Some sources to check out include:
- Social Investment Forum: the only national membership association dedicated to advancing socially and environmentally responsible investing practices (SRI).
- Calvert Online: with a large array of socially responsible mutual fund products
- PaxFund: more socially responsible mutual funds
- Trillium Asset Management: a leader in socially responsible investing
- Tiemann Investment Advisors: a local investment manager that applies your own particular preferences to the design of your individually-managed portofio, without the need for mutual funds.
