The Story of Stuff: If you have not watched this video animation about stuff, how stuff is made, what happens to it then, where it goes when you are through with it and what it all means for our environment, you've got to see it!

GreenTimes: Inspiring and empowering urban youth to become curious, environmentally conscious citizens.They are seeking authors for their online publications (for middle and high school students).

Places to Go Here are a few great places to visit, to learn more about the environment and the ecosystems that make up our world.

Hidden Villa: a nonprofit educational organization that uses its organic farm, wilderness, and community to teach and provide opportunities to learn about the environment and social justice. Hidden Villa stretches over 1600 acres of open space in the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains, about 40 miles south of San Francisco with a mission to inspire a just and sustainable future through discovery programs, interactive engagement with the land and exploring our environmental legacy. There is also a youth hostel and miles of gorgeous hiking trails to explore.

Coyote Point Museum: a learning center that inspires kids to act responsibly in caring for the earth. They provide engaging, educational experiences for our diverse, multi-generational Bay Area community through wildlife, gardens, exhibitions, and programs that relate to the global environment.

Richard J. Elkus Ranch: An environmental education center in Half Moon Bay where you can work in a garden, check out farm animals and wander through cool seaside habitat.

Marine Science Institute: Learn all about the kinds of creatures that live in the San Francisco Bay by experiencing direct contact with Bay inhabitants — including rays, sharks and others. Explore marine science with trained staff in a fun and scientific setting.

Harley Goat Farm: Visiting Harley Farms Goat Dairy in Pescadero is a hidden treasure. Mingle with the goats, ogle the edible flower garden, milk a goat, tour the cheese making room and learn how cheese is made.

Don Edwards San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge: the first urban National Wildlife Refuge established in the United States, is dedicated to preserving and enhancing wildlife habitat, protecting migratory birds, protecting threatened and endangered species, and providing opportunities for wildlife-oriented recreation and nature study for the surrounding communities.

San Carlos Recycling Center: Learn what happens to your recycling after you sort it and put in out for collection.

Monterey Bay Aquarium: the pre-eminent marine science center of the Bay Area, providing diverse educational and conservation programs for the bay.
